My name is Andy and I drive a 1990, 1.3 Polo breadvan. This is my first water cooled VW, for the last 10 years I have driven aircooled VWs. I started off with a knackered 1303 which was not roadworthy, so I bought another beetle, a 1300. Then I bought another bug a few years later, a 1300a and I had it restored. 3 and half years later I bought an aircooled T3 camper, it had a very shit engine which loved leaking lots of oil, so I sold it and bought a 1303S. That needed a new gearbox last year so I sold it and now I own the Polo. It's a car I have been wanting to own for a while and am glad I bought it.... Its awesome! -thumbsup-
Here are some photos.

Thanks. Yeah, it was registered in 1991. yesterday it finally went over 100K KM. Last week it passed its APK with no fails and it had a engine service. Just needed new sparkplugs, oil and filters. The interior is nearly perfect all it needs is a glovebox lid. The paint isn't as good as it looks on the photos, there are lots of little scratches and dents, but nothing too bad.

Thanks. The Paradiso is brilliant, took me 12months to find the small version for a good price. I have remade the interior, maybe you get to see it at a show some time. :)

In the pictures in your first post it doesn't show a hook on your car. Did you install a hook yourself for the 'vouwwagen' ? Doescthe car have enough power to tow it?

I bought a hook off someone that was breaking their Polo. My friend and I fitted it, there are ready made drill points in the boot and you have to drill 2 holes into the bodywork once the bumper is reinstalled with tow hook attached. The Polo is a 1.3 and tows it effortlessly. Tows it better than my 1600 beetle did.

It's been a while since I last visited the forum.
An up date on my Polo. It was in very good condition but, a few months ago there was an awesome hail storm with huge hail stones. My girlfriends car was written off by the insurance company and my Polo got a battering too. I was lucky that windows didn't get smashed but, the body was covered in dents. I managed to pull out the big dents but, the little dents were not playing nice and were hard to remove. So now when the Polo is clean you see lots of tiny dents all over it. My girlfriend is putting lots of KMs on the Polo, she still has not bought a replacement car. She had better find something soon, I want to keep the Polo as a lower mileage car.
